I'm Baaaaaack!

I have been offline for some time now. Mostly because of well gaming, gaming conventions and being a wife.

My convention project, my costume for GENCON went over well, but not without a few hangups. The corset was turned into a waist cencher, the night before I was going to wear it. All in all though I had alot of fun and can't wait to go again next year. And there will be more steampunk!

I still have a long list of projects I wanna get to work on. One that will be finished soon is a baby quilt being sent to Germany for a cousin in law's baby. Another is my mother's Christmas Present. I am quilting a quilt top made by either my great aunt or my grandma, can't remember which made it. She will be very surprised when she opens her present this year.

My own little project is something I have been wanting to do. I have seen so many doing the Farmer's Wife quilt sampler and I finally tracked down a copy of the book! My hubby is saying no more projects until I finish the ones I have started, but then I wouldnt be much of a quilter if I didnt have a few projects to pick from when I decided to work on something.

Steampunk goodness!

Okay, in a previous post I talked about my projects. This one is a part of said projects. I am going to a gaming con in August. And going in costume. A Steampunk costume. And no steampunk costume is complete without a cool weapon. Mine is a gun. I used a N-strike Mavrick gun, and painted it to steampunk goodness.

This is what it looked like before:

And this is what I turned it into

Oh Married Life...

Yep, I'm hitched. Been a little over a month now. Spent two weeks in Germany for the honeymoon. And I've been setting in to our place. Little things here and there and alot of cleaning. I think its unsettled my hubby a little, because he's used to being by himself.  So, I've been slowing down and making small changes instead of jumping head first into things.
I have been cleaning, alot. Boys are messy lol. I love mine though.

Asserting Domestic Diva Dominance Day 1

I took the plundge April 2, 2011 (pics will be up as soon as I get them :) ) and now I am settling in into our home. It's such a bachlorpad lol! I've been cleaning the bathroom hard and heavy today. It needed it badly. And now, looking back in there, you can tell that the white tiles have a pale blue swirl to them. I can't wait for him to see it when he gets home. I think he will be very surprised! Next stop, The bedroom!

I like to move it move it!

First and Foremost, A Happy St. Patric's Day to everyone!

I moved some of my things today, the most hard to move being my sewing machine and fabric stash. With my wedding now nearing 2 weeks away I had to move my things, even if it is a little at a time. My books are gone as well. Added to his massive collection on his shelves. He's having to add another shelf. He didn't anticipate me haivng as many books as him, if not more.

A new game to be added to the ones I will play. I am checking out Champions Online. Its free to play (a good thing since I really don't want to pay for another game at the moment.) and since I loved the original game it was built off of, City of Heroes, I figured I'd try it.

So goes my little update. Now to more packing while my Champions online continues to download.
